Today, Apple announced its three new iPhones: the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. You can preorder all three models starting Friday, Sept. 13 at 5 a.m. PT. The new iPhones will arrive at stores a week later, on Sept. 20. Ordering an iPhone in the past, was an all-night affair. You had to stay awake late to place an order the exact time the Apple Store went back online, and hope everything was okay or else your phone would come in a later batch. Now, you don’t need to worry.
A 5am PT start time will allow a large part of the world to sleep in later. This can help Apple to get more preorders instead of just the ardent fans who stay up late in US time zones.
Although you have the chance of sleeping in on preorder day, it is still wise to grab your iPhone as soon as possible, or else you might get it days later. So make sure you are up early if you want to be among the lucky ones of the first batch.
