Video streaming is going to be done based on the 5G era in the future. Around 78 percent of USA consumers believe that they will use this technology with the adoption of the next-generation wireless standard in both smartphones and home-networking solutions.
According to the recent IHS Markit survey, Consumers ranked the video streaming more than video calling, social media, mobile gaming, virtual reality and augmented reality.
So the development of 5G is going to cause video usage to grow to account for around 70 percent of mobile network traffic by 2022. The current 4G wireless services in the USA can provide enough performance for a different type of content streaming.
One of the largest impacts of 5G is 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD) videos which thanks to the 5G standard technology speed and capacity, it can handle that.
Beside with its smartphone market, consumers in the USA have a great interest in using the 5G for video streaming via home internet accent.
While 5G is known as mobile technology, the 5G standard also supports fixed wireless access (FWA). Unlike fixed internet such as DSL, cable or fibre, 5G FWA can use wireless mobile technology for the home internet use.
Nowadays, most of the consumers claimed that they want to use 5G more due to its speed which was on average 35Mbps in 2018 in the USA but theoretically the 5G speed can be up to 1Gbps.
