Tim Paine Says Australia Should Retain And Win the Fifth Ashes At Oval

Australians attained their first target by winning the series in England. Now Tim Paine says their next target is the fifth Ashes Test. Australia retained the urn at Old Trafford and led 2-1 over England. Paine is now eager to complete the Test at Oval.

All-rounder Mitchell Marsh is back to the 12 man squad to take the place of Travis Head. He will assist in easing the workload on the Australian pace attack.

On Wednesday, on the eve of the Test, Paine said that they would play not just to retain the Ashes, but to win. He acknowledged that they played well at Old Trafford, but insisted that Oval Test match is more important.

At Headingley, Ben Stoke motivated England by his one-wicket win, but Australia went to the fourth Test and secured the series. England failure to regain the Ashes has made Joe Root captaincy to be put under scrutiny, but Paine insists that Australia would never underestimate him.

At Oval, Australia look forward to having a good bowling depth and fantastic wickets and be able to take care of their fast bowlers.
