This is the month for upgrades for Google. Gmail in android phones got a darker theme, Play Pass will be launching soon and now chrome 77 is being rolled out.
Remember instances when you were searching on your phone and wanted to transfer your search to your PC or laptop, you couldn’t start immediately unless you dug into your history, right? With chrome 77, that will be history since it comes with a send webpage to device feature.
When working on your laptop and want to move to another device, right-click on a link or tab. A new context menu will pop up, tap on it and it will enable you to send the link to other devices.
If working on your mobile, tap the three dots menu at the top of your screen, click on the option “send to devices”, choose your device and that’s it. The cool thing about this feature is that it allows you to send the webpage even if your mobile internet is off.
The feature is currently live on iOS, Mac and Android devices. For macOS devices, the upgrade is still not enabled. Although chrome has always supported opening and revisiting sites across devices, this feature will make things even easier.
The new chrome 77 comes with a loading indicator. You will see a new animation that indicates a site favicon loading. Once it’s fully loaded, the loading circle expands. To get this version of Chrome, go to help and click on about Google chrome then check for updates. That sums it up and now you can move your search to whichever device you like.
