Tech giant Mahindra is looking to expand their partnership with AT&T in order to fast track their Information technology network, shared applications modernization as well as shift of systems to cloud platform. Tech Mahindra is expected to assume control of most applications that run on AT&T.
This deal, which is expected to last many years, will the contractor, AT&T, to direct focus to core issues, including installing a 5G, and also shift non-network functions to cloud by the year 2024.
This program is expected to implement improvements in sustainable operations across software and network domains. This will involve optimization of core operations as well as modernization of internal network application to hasten innovation. This is in an effort to ensure Tech Mahindra matches forward to achieve their goals of setting up 5G in the entire country by the year 2020.
CEO of Tech Mahindra, CP Gumani, stated that the contract between his company and Ericsson is will elevate the company’s standing and the relationship between them and AT&T to make 5G a reality. The new transformation framework will be used to improve AT&T’s footprint through aggregation of functions while improving on efficiency, business processes, quality and operation costs.
