On Monday, serial entrepreneur Sheena Newman announced Gia Gunn as the first “face” of her skincare start-up. In early 2019, Newman founded the organic skincare company, which has widely grown in popularity over the last few months. TALIX Organics creates skincare products, which combine nature with science to deliver the most effective clinical-grade formulations in the industry. Their products are composed of the highest quality ingredients sourced from around the world.
Newman built an estimated $5 Million net-worth as a successful entrepreneur in the beauty and fashion industries. She is most notably known for inspiring women to live their best lives through her successful YouTube channel. With over 136,000 views, people around the world eagerly follow Sheena Newman.
In an open letter on social media, Sheena announced, “Beauty is no longer one size fits all! At TALIX Organics, we believe in embracing your own kind of beautiful. No matter your nationality, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation, skincare is universal and the foundation for effortless beauty. We’re beyond honored to announce the first face of TALIX Organics – Gia Gunn. As an openly transgender woman, Gia works tirelessly to bring love and awareness to the beauty community! During the duration of her campaign, every order will come with a personal note from Gia. Please join us in welcoming the stunning Gia Gunn as the first face of TALIX Organics!”
Gia Gunn is most notably known for competing on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the second season of The Switch Drag Race, and RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars season four. Gia was one of many Drag Race alumni to criticize RuPaul’s views on transgender and bio queens competing on the show in 2018.
After Newman announced the collaboration, Gia responded via Instagram, “I’m proud to announce that I am the new face of TALIX Organics! I’m so happy to partner with them on their Rose Quartz Hydra Glow serum, and as a company that is 100% cruelty-free and vegan. No matter what beauty routine, or makeup tutorial you’re trying out, just know to be your own kind of beautiful and support companies that are all-inclusive.”
With nearly 600,000 followers on Instagram, Gia Gunn can easily change the course of the beauty industry.
