Josh Pfeiffer recently released his latest original composition and music video “One More Time” on November 17th, 2018.
“One More Time” is Pfeiffer’s first single in the country music genre. If the early response is any indication, his latest offering is not only hitting home with his fans, but expanding his fan base as well. At the time of this article, the song had debuted on iTunes Country Music Chart at #96 in the U.S., and #1 on the UK iTunes Country Music Chart, while the video had racked up over a quarter of a million views on YouTube worldwide.
The music video opens with a delicately pulsating piano over calm, dreamy water followed by Josh’s signature silky-smooth baritone. Transporting his listeners literally and figuratively into this tale of love and loss. Tara Pfeiffer, delivers an incredible performance costarring as the love interest opposite Josh. The two are married in real life, which helps explain their great chemistry on film. Five time Emmy Award winning director Alejandro Guimoye, brings to life this beautiful, passionate, and tragic love story in a way, reminiscent of Nicholas Sparks story. The cinematography by Michael Spranger is exceptional.
In addition to the melancholic and gray yet compelling storyline; Josh renders the lyrics beautifully in his deep, warm, tender and assertive voice that draws in the listener to feel at their core the passionate sweep of true love and at the same time come face to face with the searing pain of what it means to lose a loved one.
Josh launched onto music scene with the release of his debut album “American Crooner Act:1” in 2010 featuring cover versions of Big Band standards in addition to his original compositions Life, When I’m With You, Beautiful Girl, Where I want to be, and California Days. In 2016, the music video for Life was released as a tribute to the memory of his late parents, Gary and Joyce Pfeiffer.
Pfeiffer is no stranger to the iTunes music charts, as his previous two releases each reached various charts internationally. His single “Life” reached the top 10 on the iTunes UK singer songwriter chart, and held a spot in the top 40 for the final week of February 25, 2018. The single peaked at #6 on the UK’s Singer/Songwriter Chart. His single “Brand New Shoes” reached #63 on the iTunes Canadian Chart and peaked at #15 on the more specific Canadian “Pop” Chart April 15, 2018.
Known also for his philanthropy, Josh has over the years performed to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross. In addition, last year, he donated six months profits from the re-release of Life to victims of the Northern Californian Wildfires.
Pfeiffer is already reaching new heights, and new fans with this latest single and music video. I personally think it is his best work to date. Time will tell just how far he can sail with it but as for this listener is concerned, I keep wanting to listen, and watch it again “One More Time”.
