Jasprit Bumrah Upset West Indies In Just Five Wickets And Delivers 318 Runs To India

Jasprit Bumrah blew West Indies in just five wickets and hands India 318 runs win on Sunday. This is the highest number of runs India has made in away match. Bumrah also made a record as the first bowler from Indian to take five wickets to haul in four continents in his 11th Test. Now India leads 1-0 in the two-match Test series.

Bumrah success comes from his ability to hit a stump in either side. He also can deliver a fast-moving ball. Bumrah was able to hit the stump off left-hand opener John Campbell and Darren Bravo. West Indies went for a break on 15 for five after nearly 113 overs in the field.

India bowled 45 balls for five wickets they got in that session. However, the edge was narrowed at the third by Virat Kohli. West Indies reshuffled their batting order after Roston Chase’s 38 overs and two innings of wicketkeeping for Shai Hope. Moments after ironic applause, when West Indies made it to 50, Mohammed Shami bowled a peach that left Chase from a right length and took his off stump.

Apart from Bumrah Kemar, Roach was also among the best bowlers in the Test. He struck five sixes including a single over Ravindra Jadeja. India began the day with 260 points ahead; they went on with the lead to 418. Ajinkya Rahane has 102 points while Hanuma Vihari scored 93 points.

In this Test, Rahane reached his 100 points for the ninth time. Luck seems to be following him in many series. Vihari was unable to reach 100 points even after being given an opportunity.

In the first Test, Rahane had fidgeted in his first inning, but this time around, he was composed and started the day on 53 points. He continued to build his inning around singles and double.
