With the release of Pixel 4 scheduled for 24th October, tech aficionados are still discovering new software hacks that rumors claim Google purposely created.
The best yet not officially announced software is Pixel 4’s ability to have Android updates installed overnight. Of cause, that sounds too good to be true! In fact, most people think this sounds too good to be true, and are asking “how convenient?”
Well, simply because you don’t have to disrupt your time on the phone just to keep the installations going, makes the whole update exercise absolutely convenient.
Remember how annoying you feel when you have to forego a movie you are watching or playing a game just to allow installation to take place. Pixel 4 has announced a fix for this and it is overnight installation.
So instead of simply restarting your phone, you can now schedule to “Restart after 2.00 am” which will practically do the magic. Now you can rest assured that you will never miss out on timely updates because you don’t need to ignore the notification and leave it at that since you can reschedule it for night time updating.
‘If that’s not genius, I don’t know what is,’ said one reader online. Google Pixel 4 has really outdone its predecessors owing to this add-on and we can only wish that they will extend it to the other sister phones.
The overnight update installation has completed the loop in Google’s update procedure which just requires users to reboot after an update has been installed and has made it even more seamless.
Users are already talking about this cool feature on twitter and Google may expand it hopefully to future phones. Stay tuned for more updates!
