After his slow start at Real Madrid, Eden Hazard faced the fans wrath online. The forward who was signed from Chelsea on a £100 million deal, replaced Christiano Ronaldo as the number 7 player.
Seems like the right-winger did not take the mockery he received from Chelsea fans lightly last week. In a conference, Hazard took it to himself to respond to all the criticism that had been directed to him.
First of all he acknowledged the fact that everyone expected a lot from him adding that he also believed he could do better. He explained that his progress is achievable through putting in more effort in training.
Hazard also pointed out that he had big shoes to fill having taken the number 7 shirt. He further mentioned that he was not yet a Galactico but he could prove himself worthy of the title.
The Belgian international added that he aspired to prove that he could be the best in the world by giving his all not only in matches but in training as well.
On the eve of La Liga, Hazard had suffered a hamstring injury which stalled his training. Now that he has fully recovered, the player is positive that he can be his best once again.
Despite the flop start by the forward, Real Madrid is still at the top of the La Liga standings with 15 points. Real Madrid is set to face Granada on Saturday and we hope luck will be on Hazard’s side.
Zidane has shown the support for Hazard right through the critiques and is positive that the player is yet to shine.
