Belgian International Eden Hazard had topped Zinedine Zidane’s plans this season but after his £150 million move, his career did not pick as expected.
Unfortunately, Hazard suffered a hamstring injury which reduced his appearances and in the four games that he played, he hasn’t registered either a goal or an assist.
In yesterday’s clash against Atletico Madrid, the 28-year-old winger was not at his best and his game was considered pretty messy. Although the game ended 0-0 draw, the player hardly contributed to the results.
Real Madrid boss, Zidane was quite supportive of the player and was positive that he would find his rhythm as the games progressed. Following the player’s injury, he has missed much of his training time which could mean that he has to put extra effort if he wants to go back to stardom.
Unlike the coach, Chelsea fans online were not as supportive of the player’s slow start. In fact, the fans found an opportunity to troll Hazard for the poor performance.
On twitter, fans attacked the ex-Chelsea player telling him that he was better off at Chelsea than at Madrid. Another fan suggested that Hazard should go back to his former team for a lesser transfer fee of £50 million while another tweeted that the grass was not always greener on the other side.
Moreover, others went ahead and created memes to troll the number 7 player. The most notable was a picture of a man wearing oversized shoes to which the sender quipped how Hazard would never fit in CR7’s shoes. What a dilemma! But despite all the trolling, some fans still wish Hazard a quick come back in his future games.
