3. KEEP YOUR CAR IN TIP-TOP CONDITION

You can keep it in great condition by regular oil changes and tune-ups, making sure the tires are in good quality, rotating the tires between front and rear a couple of times a year, checking brake fluid and coolant levels, and filling up the gas tank before it gets empty.

4. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT

Don’t forget to wear your seat belt every time you’re on the road. Make sure your passenger wear theirs, too. According to studies, more than half of teens who are into accidents don’t wear their seat belts while driving. Again, always wear your seat belt it will definitely save your life.

5. FOCUS AND CONCENTRATE

Be sure to keep your eyes on the road at all times. Use of mobile phones, eat while driving, change of channels on the radio, turning around to chat with your passenger while driving is a big no, no. Most of the time, accidents happen rapidly. Keep your eyes on the road at all times to prevent accidents.

6. HAVE A CORRECT DRIVING POSITION

While driving makes sure you sit up straight and keep your shoulders against the seat back. Adjust your seat forward so that your legs have a slight bend in them. One more thing, don’t forget to check all mirrors to get the best view.

7. AVOID TAILGATING

Following closely is one of the main causes of bumping another vehicle in front of you. While driving, makes sure there is sufficient distance to prevent collision if the car in front suddenly stops.

8. ALWAYS BE READY

You should always bring your important driving documents and emergency kit every time you drive. These includes inflated spare tire, multipurpose utility tool, flashlight and extra batteries, compass, just to name a few.

9. LISTEN TO WEATHER FORECAST

Weather predictions are important especially if you are planning for a long travel. It may even help you keep out of danger especially if there is storm, heavy wind or snow. If there’s bad weather condition, it’s much better to just stay inside your home and off the road.

10. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE

Drinking while driving may increase your risk of being in an accident. Any amounts of alcohol inside your body definitely have an impact on your driving ability. Aside from drinking avoid being under the influence of drugs as well as lack of sleep.
