Microsoft company is running a new bounty programme for its Chromium-based Edge browser. The winning prize for this program starts from $1,000 to $30,000.
This new program is trying to find and invite researchers from around the world to check and find bugs and vulnerabilities unique to the Microsoft Edge browser.
The rewards are based on how severe the bug is and also depends on the quality of the submission and Microsoft Bounty terms and conditions.
According to Microsoft company, only those who will report bugs by focusing on a set of features that are unique to the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser can win this prize.
These features can include PlayReady DRM, Internet Explorer Mode, signing in with a Microsoft Account or an Azure Active Directory and Application Guard.
Microsoft is offering a different type of rewards based on the above mentioned features. For submitting reports based on Spoofing or Tampering you can earn between $1,000 and $6,000. For Remote Code Execution and Information Disclosure, you can earn around $1,000 to $10,000. For bugs report related to Elevation of Privilege, you can earn between $5,000 to $15,000.
The highest reward which is $30,000 will be only awarded to those who can report bugs related to Elevation of Privilege flaw and a Windows Defender Application Guard container escape.
