There is a lot to like about the new iPhone 11 (guide), iPhone 11 Pro (guide) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (guide). However, due to an accident by Apple, now we know this is not end of its iPhone upgrades.
Super detective from 9to5Mac, Guilherme Rambo spotted that Apple has accidentally left references inside the new iOS 13.1 beta release suggesting the company is going to introduce new iPhone 11 range of smart battery cases. They are likely going to change a lot.
Rambo said, “I can confirm that there are references to three new Smart Battery Case models that can be found inside iOS 13.1. The model codes are A2180, A2183 and A2184, presumably for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, respectively.”
That presumption is safe given now iOS is just for iPhones and the iPod touch. However, since the iPhone 11 design has hardly changed since the iPhone X, why would Apple need new smart battery cases? The reason is the new models are thicker and the rear cameras have a much bigger protruding hump.
The flip side is the extra thickness is mainly due to the range getting much bigger batters with much better battery life compared to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and even the iPhone XR. That’s why Apple will have to make a second-generation case which is considerably more attractive than the poor design it has been using for some years now.
