Amazon Is Gearing Up To Take Over Your Living Room

technology

Amazon has been quite good at getting its services into your living room this far. Every year, it sells millions of Fire TV Sticks, low-priced little devices which are intended to plug into the back of your current TV and enable it with all the streaming services you need.

However as smart TVs and built in apps continue to improve, the need for simple, standalone streaming services is going to be less eventually. Today, we got the clearest view yet at how Amazon is getting ready for that future.

The retailer made three announcements today: a new soundbar which also works as a streaming device, a new Fire TV cube which will release worldwide, and new Fire TV Editions which are arriving to the UK and Germany. Each of them has a little different strategy for getting into your living room, whether it’s convenience, the guarantee of better sound for your TV, or a device which is able to function like a universal remote for your home media center. Earning a place in your living room is becoming harder and harder and Amazon wants to be up for the challenge.
