Liverpool is yet to have an injury boost that will not go well for both Manchester United and Tottenham. Allison Becker is set to return to Anfield ahead of the matches. And going by the fact that Ali was crowned Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper, this is definitely not good news for the two rivals.
Becker has been out of the game since his calf injury at the Premier League opening. In his place, former West Ham goalie, Adrian, had been running the show. Considering Liverpool’s stats, he has handled the situation pretty well.
According to reports, the Brazilian goal stopper was spotted training with Liverpool’s goalkeeping staff and he is holding up just fine.
Now that he is back in training, the only thing that could possibly keep him out of the game is clearance from the club’s medical department.
If approved, Pochettiono and Ole Gunnar’s side should start chanting their prayers because they’ll have it rough.
Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp explained that there are two opinions regarding the goalkeeper’s return. Of the two options, he hopes Allison will be back in time for the match against Man U later this month.
For Liverpool’s clash against Leicester, Klopp is not sure if his first-choice goalkeeper will be fit enough to play. This means that Adrian will still be on it. However, the coach is quite positive that Allison will be sturdy for the clash against Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar should now go back to the drawing board and restrategize his men to match up to Liverpool’s great injury boost.
