AJ Styles vs. Braun Strowman Match Ends in a Disqualification

Braun Strowman got a shot at AJ Styles’ United States Championship for the second straight week. Their match ended in a disqualification for the second straight week. Styles low blowed Strowman and attacked him with a steel chair after a ref bump. There was no referee to count the pin when Strowman avoided a chair shot and hit a powerslam.

While the ref was down, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows came out to intervene but Strowman fought them off and hit them with a chair. Styles faked like Strowman had hit him with the chair when the ref woke up. As a result, the ref called for the bell and disqualified Strowman.

Strowman laid out all three of Styles, Gallows, and Anderson after the match.

Braun Strowman will challenge Seth Rollins for Universal Championship at the pay-per-view, and Strowman & Rollins will defend their Raw Tag Team titles against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode who won a tag team turmoil match last night to get the title shot. The Universal Championship feud has been booked like a boy mustering up the courage to ask a girl to prom.

Sasha Banks had her first match since WrestleMania 35 and explained her four-month absence from WWE. The King of the Ring tournament also continued with Raw’s last two first-round matches.
